    Hire this guy now !

Our software project at work was described as trying to change the the wheel with a flat while still driving along ...

He can change the front tyre of his car while it's doing doughnuts.

So if he can do that then he can probably herd cats too !

A consultant friend said to me:
I can walk on water, and deliver software on time, on spec, on budget.
You freeze the water and the specifications.

I'm seeing it but I can't believe it! That is amazing Paul! Was this a circus act or some midway entertainment for one of your races? Whatever made him think to DO something like that?!?! Just incredible!

    Questions...

Yes, quite a stunt. But obviously the front part of the car needs to be slightly higher (off the ground) so the tire can slip on (you know, like what we mere mortals use a jack for).

How did they accomplish this? Was the car frame distorted to create that extra space? Seems like it would have to be. Of course, it could be a smaller tire so it would fit in more easily...

Re: Hire this guy now !

Terry Grant does stunts for a living, this was his latest.
    He also does driving stunts.
But he as looking for a world record no-one else had tried

It's a legend racer, 2/3 scale replica of a classic, but with power to weight ration of lots to nothing.
So when racing they are very interesting tail-happy cars.

If you look carefully you'll see a built-in jack just behind the front wheel arch in the top picture.

He sets up the throttle and steering to do doughnuts and locks it off, and then climbs out and runs off to fetch the electric wheel wrench.
That's used to wind down the jack so he can use the wrench to get the front wheel off.
Run back for the new wheel.
Refit the nuts and tighten with the wrench.
Then let the jack off and drive away.

The arena floor is a smooth mastic surface, the normal exhibition centre surface that's hidden by carpets in the other halls.
