    Hey! Chicago people!
Hey! I know we usually have the same group of people, where are you! I will be down there for work either the first or second weekend in November, should I just jam pack my trip with work? Or are we getting together this year?

Any word out of Florida on a possible guest? Without that, skies that look like a Kodak grey card and lots of talk about food it just won't seem right. :)

No plans in November at the moment. I'm interested - anyone else?

I would love to join you guys and gals again in the Windy City, but I don't think it's going to happen this year. :( I was just in Chicago about a month ago...

I'm in, so far Nov. is open but like always that might change. It's been a few years but I would like to make it this year. Just let me know.

All I can say is, I'll be in one of the big bronze shoes at Navy Pier sometime in November.

You need to figure out when, and if you meet me there, fine. I'll buy you pizza...

Not that Chicago "thick style" crap, but real New York pizza. I know a place... :D

Great - had been thinking about when I could get back to NYC for some Lombardi's but this will be a whole lot easier. So yeah, we'll let you join us. :)

It would be an honor. Let's hope the Finance Gods are smiling on me in a month... :D

Oh, btw, Mr. Bass Man, I got a new signature. Name that tune and the band.

Yeah, I know. Too easy...

Dude, you make it too easy for me.

Thing is, I'm pretty broke, so unless there's some sort of miracle in the next month or so, looks like I may have to skip this year.

But, you never know. It's too soon to say for sure...

When's the tree lighting this year?

I'd like to say I'm in, and I think as long as I know the date far enough in advance I can make it, since I'm in charge of creating other people's schedules that month.

That's perfect! Can you do us a favor? Create schedules for everyone who's interested in being part of this and make sure we're all at the same place at the same time.

    With money... :D

Got it now... Actually I'm hanging it up at the end of the month - too many other fun things to do, and schedules always conflict. Speaking of schedules, when you're here we could go to China Town for Dim Sum on Sunday. A friend and I did that several months ago, but it's a ways from downtown - good eats and very inexpensive. Just an idea. Fah ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra. :)

Yeah, Seb and I went there a few years back. Took the train. There's a great story behind it, one that brings up visions of Adventures in Babysitting... :D

Sunday'd be tough, though, as I'd be flying out that afternoon...

LOL! Funny how a well-timed insult can turn around a crappy day for an ex-New Yorker.

    Thanks for that...

I'm thinking the first or second weekend, because people always want Christmas cards. Those take time.

    1) Any time. :)

    2) Yes. Not my best modeling, but a definite improvement over earlier work.

Either works for me as long as I'm not commiting to the card thing. I'll just stick with the good intentions, year after year, for now. :)

Every year I sell around 2000 holiday cards. The first year, I delivered them all folded. Never again. Then I started telling people in July that they were an option. Saves me a second session just for cards.

I'm planning on the first weekend of November. I will be down to Bourbonaisse (however you spell that one, I always mangle it) that morning, and then into Chicago during the day.

    Adina,
Are you talking about Saturday the 1st or Sunday the 2nd? Either way you can count me in, I have nothing planned that weekend.
It would be nice to meet up with you and others as I have only attended one Chicago gathering before.

What about dinner Friday night? We never shoot that much anyway....I'll be down in Bourbonnais tomorrow, and will see the other family up here on Sunday, so I'll be finalizing my dates this weekend.

Otherwise I'll be down in another two weeks or so after that with prints...

Friday dinner sounds good to me. I kind of wish that we wouldn't walk around to much as I am in a bit of pain still from a out-patient surgery about two months ago.
