Re: Hey! Chicago people!
that's what I get for disappearing, I guess. ;)
Now I'm out of The Loop. But maybe I'll get back in The Loop in Chicago. If we go to The Loop.

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
Every year I sell around 2000 holiday cards. The first year, I delivered them all folded. Never again. Then I started telling people in July that they were an option. Saves me a second session just for cards.

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
I'd like to get out with you guys for breakfast or lunch while you're all in town - I work evenings but I live in the city so I'm pretty well open for any place.

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
So, is there a date set for the Chicago gathering? Seeing that it is just a few weeks away.

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
I'm planning on the first weekend of November. I will be down to Bourbonaisse (however you spell that one, I always mangle it) that morning, and then into Chicago during the day.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
Adina,
Are you talking about Saturday the 1st or Sunday the 2nd? Either way you can count me in, I have nothing planned that weekend.
It would be nice to meet up with you and others as I have only attended one Chicago gathering before.

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
I'm shooting a wedding 11/1.
-
Re: Hey! Chicago people!
What about dinner Friday night? We never shoot that much anyway....I'll be down in Bourbonnais tomorrow, and will see the other family up here on Sunday, so I'll be finalizing my dates this weekend.
Otherwise I'll be down in another two weeks or so after that with prints...

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
Friday dinner sounds good to me. I kind of wish that we wouldn't walk around to much as I am in a bit of pain still from a out-patient surgery about two months ago.

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
ummmm....turns out, no. How about the weekend after? The 7th or 8th?
-
Re: Hey! Chicago people!
Unless someone (cough cough) bought a plane ticket, then I'd drive down twice.
-
Re: Hey! Chicago people!
So far I'm free 11/7 and 11/8.
-
Re: Hey! Chicago people!
Could you pencil me into your busy schedule? I'm for sure coming down that weekend. Will let you knowfor sure if it's Friday or Saturday.

I'm good to go on the 7th and 8th.

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
11/8 looks good for me so far. I'll have to skip the Friday night since I'm going to a workshop the next weekend, so the posh rockstar hotel budget has already been spent. :)

It's a moot point. Word is they've given your usual suite to the new bass player... :D

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
soooo, is it just Seb & Adina? Another View, you in as well? Will there be dinner? Fun & merriment? Bow ties of any type?
-
Re: Hey! Chicago people!
Ahh, patience grasshopper - it took six weeks to come up with a date... :)
I'll probably be there on Saturday but not Friday night. Next big step I guess would be to choose a time and place... Who wants to make that leap?
-
Re: Hey! Chicago people!
You can count me in, as of right now I don't have any plans for either 11/7 or 11/8, and only two weeks away.

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
OK, Saturday November 8th. I will be working during the day, but down in that area. If people want to plan to get together and shoot during the day, post here if you are interested, then you guys can pm each other to make arrangements. I will be there later in the afternoon, so do we want to pick a spot to meet, then have dinner? Steve (av), is your wife joining you? What about Trevor, does anyone know if he's still alive? Maybe he'd want to meet for dinner?

Probably not, but she hasn't been spending as much time in the city lately as before - so she's not as burned out by it either. I'd be up for meeting somewhere mid-day to do some high-quality wandering and probably dinner.
Let's see, we could either crash Adina's gig (although she knows kickboxing), go to the museum campus to shoot some nice gray skies again or maybe wander around downtown (my vote). Adina, what area will you be in?

Re: Hey! Chicago people!
I will be down to Bourbonaisse, and then somewhere actually in Chicago. I will look that up, it's not right in front of me....
