    Here's looking at you....

Haven't posted one in awhile...a recent client. Only had 30 minutes to shoot at a place called Santana Row before I had to go to the studio.

Still trying to keep my goal of October 4th to go full time, but have been so burnt out that it may be on hold. I'm trying to motivate myself tonight by looking at recent shoots.

    Nice shot Loren.

Glad to hear you're gong full time. You definitely have the talent for it.

    Two quick questions for you.

1- Why October 4th? (I'm sure it has some significance)

2- What gear are you shooting with? I know you've made some changes in your shooting arsenal, and I was wondering what you're using now.

Love the lighting on the hair. Lovely lady, those eyes are real man killers. Nice job. Good to hear from you.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

On October 5th I leave for Vietnam for the first time with my mom. I am going to her home village in the Mekong Delta and this is where all of her living relatives still live. It's also my grandmother's memorial ceremony. I want to maximize my Citigroup salary until the very last minute.

2- What gear are you shooting with? I know you've made some changes in your shooting arsenal, and I was wondering what you're using now.
Currently I am shooting with the Canon 1Dmk2, but I am trying to balance my checkbook for a 1D Mark2. Then Photo-John is telling to buy a mtn bike, and then I may buy a house.

    Current lens selection is:
    24mm tilt/shift lens
    16-35mm len
50 mm lens (this is the lens I used for this photo)
    70-200 mm zoom

Backup camera is my EOS 3

Hi resolution needs are met by using my RZ67 and either renting the lens I need or a digital back, then charging the client.

Thanks for the positive thoughts...giving up a paycheck is pretty scary for me!!

    Hi Natalie,

It was early in the morning and I simply positioned her in the shade and her face the sun. No flash, reflector, or anything.

I really like using indirect light because it comes off being more natural.
