Hello from a newbie1

Hello, I'm new to the boards and pretty new to photography. I've been playing around and trying to learn as much as I can for a couple years now I'm trying to get into it more seriously. Unfortunately I don't have the option of taking a class in photography right now, but I really want to learn, so I apologize if I ask some very remedial questions. I'll do my best to look through the FAQ and messages first though!

Here are a couple pictures I took this weekend. Please let me know what you think, but I'm a little intimidated posting them, I kind of feel like a kid who's snuck into the teacher's lounge at school, so please be gentile.

Hi and welcome! This forum, Viewfinder, is really more for introducing yourself, sharing your pictures and talking about photography. You might want to post these on Critique for a more in depth critique (nothing to be worried about with that :) ). I think you're off to a good start!
