has this ever happened to you?
have you ever been shooting something and reviewed your pictures in the LCD and hated what you see? then you go home and upload the photos and love them? that happened to me today. I shot a basketball game at school and hated all my pictures, then I got home and realized that a lot of them were pretty good.
Re: has this ever happened to you?
Yup, happens to me all the time. Works both ways too. I have looked at some photos on the LCD and thought they looked great, then looked at them on my computer and couldn't believe how dark they looked. (happened today) I think alot of it is how the light hits the LCD, somethimes it makes things look really bright, and other times it's hard to see anything at all... at least that's my take on it.

Re: has this ever happened to you?
Exactly so.
Reviewed on the LCD and thought the exposure was way off.
Histogram was all to the left, and the face looked totally washed out.
So I tried different flash settings, different apertures, bounce flash (off the built in plastic).
And found the first picture was acutaly the best !
Let's count the problems, black car, black catsuit, red hair, fair skin, fluorescent light.
And the 20D with 580 flash was smarter than me :(
Sometimes, it is the camera :)
Re: has this ever happened to you?
yeah, I know the feeling working with our HP Photosmart 320. I also get the problem when previewing photos on my Tunsten T Palm. It looks all distorted. Usually I'll wait until uploading them to the computer to make the final choice on what goes and what stays.
Re: has this ever happened to you?
Yes. However, unfortunately it works the other way around too.
BTW, where are the "smart" pics?

I agree. Moral of the story: Don't delete when you're shooting! :D Unless you're sure...

if you're referring to me and where the pictures are that I shot, check the sports photography forum.
Re: has this ever happened to you?
You bring your digital camera along, but then leave the USB cable at home so you can't pull the pics off. Luckly I may be able to use my palm to do the same thing.....
Off to try that now! Come on baby, don't let me down!
Nope....didn't work! BLAST!
