    Happy New Year!

This year I skied up a mountain across the valley from Mt. Crested Butte. I brought some gear and shot the torchlight parade (ski school skiing down with road flares) and fireworks. It was a fun perspective on the festivities.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Eye boggling shot. It must have taken some sacrifice to get that.

    Re: Happy New Year!

    Thanks!
I put in considerable effort but I'm not sure if sacrifice is the right word. This is the sort of thing I do for fun anyway (climbing mountains, skiing in the dark). I did miss out on being in the drunken mob at the base area, but I see that as a benefit! I was back home with my family by 8pm too!

    Re: Happy New Year!

Wonderful shot! What greater way to say farewell to 2013 - than to sky the mountain! Great way to do it - and I would find it inspirational as well as fun.

Happy New Year to you too and everyone else.
