Goth Session

I was asked to do a "goth session". This session included some tying, as well as some tears. It was an interesting shoot to say the least. Here are some PG shots from the session.

As a practising goth - if I may mildly correct something :) I would actually consider that a fetish or bondage shoot. Not all goths are into BDSM. She (your subject) looks like a goth who *is* - admittedly there is a blurred line between the two scenes, but they do not always go hand in hand. Apologies in advance for being a stickler, but we get a bad rap in the media, so I wanted to clarify.

That said, the photographs are gorgeous, especially in black and white. PVC is so sexy to photograph! You captured some real intensity without succombing to some of the cheesy cliches that is all too common in fetish photography. IMHO!

Megan - thanks for the compliments and no offense taken. I struggled with what to title this session, as you're right this is more of a fetish or BDSM shoot than a Goth Session. We were going for gothic style, but it wasn't the focus of the shoot itself. My issue in titling the shoot was that I would have to explain to WAY too many people what BDSM was and some would be turned away from the photos altogether just seeing the acronym posted. I wanted people to see these for what they are "intense photographs" of a woman who wanted to pose this way.

I appreciate your comments, and I can't agree more. PVC IS sexy to photograph! Thanks for recognizing my choice in AVOIDING the cliche!

Hi Megan. I'm glad you chimed in on this. you voiced the concern way more elequantly than I could. BTW, I still owh you an image in trade for your boot shot. (yes that was years ago).


ACArmstrong: beautiful images. especially the "tonals" of the BW. One minor thing, I personally would like to see the rope a bit tigher on the color image. not to the *real* point of pain, but just enough to indent the corset.
