Got any funny or weird pics?

As for the weird department, here are two strange wild mallard captures.

First one - always thought mallards were strict herbivores until I shot this. AmberC was kind enough in the N&W forum to point out that they are, in fact, omnivores. Still, I've never before or since seen them being omnivoracious :)

Second one - a pair of mallards in a tree. In all the countless hours I spend in the field, I've only seen this twice. Btw, the male in this shot wasn't very good. He almost fell out a couple times in the wind.

I was just playing around with my dog after work this afternoon, and I caught him with this face. Only adjustments were a few color tweaks.

You guessed it! I was holding one of his favorite toys in my left hand as I was shooting away with my right hand. I happened to snap the pic right as I was throwing the toy. :D

I knew it spiraleyes :lol: some in this series of Nero had me laughing so hard he was barking lol

Liz and Lori - it's real. This is a female Red-winged black bird. Females and males both perch on cattails which line the shores of ponds and marshes. When cattails are close/dense enough, they will often "walk" across them and straddle them like this. But since any slight breeze make the reeds sway, they don't hold this position very long.

The reason why she's "shouting" (which I think makes the shot) is because she's yelling at me (at the extreme near end of her comfort range).

The reflection off their compound eyes changes shape as they move their head around. Didn't know I had caught its "expression" until I got home.

Not a funny topic (flooding), but a fitting statement to the condition of the mighty Mississippi River earlier this spring.
