PR.com S.F. / Bay Area Mini-meet
Hello everyone. Pweb, myself are hosting another mini-meet. :D
Here's the location idea for a larger local members gathering: http://www.filoli.org/
Architecture, people and gardens -- something for most photographers, for a day at least. Plus it's on the Peninsula, pretty much central to our part of the Bay Area.
*** Still pending is a 8:00 A.M. breakfast at a undecided location.Any suggestions:idea:
OR meet at Filoli Gardens --> SUNDAY MAY 24 @ 11.A.M.
ANY Norcal members out there?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although non-commercial photography is fine, there's not really room for tripods and tripods aren't allowed in the Filoli house.
The road gets VERY full of bike riders, so be aware of that when you exit 280.
With regards,
Rick

Re: PR.com S.F. / Bay Area Mini-meet
This is great! Thanks for taking the initiative to organize a gathering, Rick and Pam. I'd be there if I could. I will have to make an announcement next time I'm heading for the Bay Area so we can set up a get-together. It's been quite a while!
I hope you get a lot of participants with this. In case you haven't thought of it, you can search the Members List to see who's in the Bay Area and send them PM notices about your get-together. The more people who participate, the better it will be :)

Re: PR.com S.F. / Bay Area Mini-meet
Would love to, but tied up that weekend as well. It's a beautiful place to get some great photos... Good place to drive to early, and leave late, as that side of 280, up and down Crystal Springs area offers some pretty nice photo opps from the roadside lookouts off 280, or up off Skyline (35) via hwy 92... No shortage of opportunities...

Thanks to all who responded I just realized that date (5/24) is Memorial Day weekend.I wasn't thinking usually people are out of town ,probably not a good pick.
---> How does Sunday June 7th@ 8:00 A.M. work?
With some input...I'll update the original posting. Great seeing local NorCal members who shouted back.

For what it's worth, some people go to church on Sundays. I heard all about it from Photo Mom. Evidently, she would like to go but won't be able to if you schedule it on a Sunday.

Thats the boat that I'm in.
Perhaps a Sunday this time, and if we're inspired to do a meetup in July, do a saturday?
