    Goodnight Sweetheart...

Yesterdays wanderings took me through the local cemetery. Here are a few images from that stroll. I know from other post that cemeteries are a favorite haunt (excuse the pun) of many photographers. Feel free to post your photos on the same subject.

Thanks guys. I like to catch cemeteries at sunrise of sunset. I was a little early yesterday but I think it worked out OK.

Good work Larry! Cemeteries hold a wealth of good subject matter.

Here's some old shots of mine --- not necessarily of the cemetery but, of some interesting "residents" therein:

I am anxious for others to share their images too.

Wow James...I just now recognized that memorial. Its a small, small world. Just last week my husband did the crane work for the same company that built this Jimi Hendrix memorial. They are based in Minn. and its too cold for them to work up there in the winter..so they come south to Texas every year. When they work in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area they always hire us to do the crane work for them. A nice bunch of guys.

Yea I was up there with a buddy to visit my brother and decide to find the cemetery. It was nice with the GPS that we rented, found it with no problems.

Thanks, OT & Frog. The overgrown one died in 1904. Makes me want to get my pruning shears and go clean it up for the old guy.!

    Re: Goodnight Sweetheart...

There's a story in those 3 similar ones, OT.
Is a consort the same as a mistress? Wikepedia says," A consort is a spouse or companion, often of royalty or a deity, sometimes slightly inferior in function/status".
