Very good question Frog. I'm think that in this case we're talking about a wife. I have found this term used far to often in this cemetery and on head stones form this era and earlier that use consort to think that there were that many open mistresses in this small town at that time.

So Moses buried his two wives next to each other, both died in the same year. Oh My!

One is the consort of Moses Thompson and the other is the consort of Samuel Stockwell who didn't die until 1855. I wonder if something happened that both women died at the same time or what and what the relationship was but if I start getting into stories like that and geneology, I'll have no time for photorgraphy.

My theory is that they are all related in some way and that 1817 must have been a pretty nasty year for influenza or some other dangerous and lethal disease of the time.

I know where a couple ghost towns and abandon graveyards are however they have 6-9 feet on snow on them right now. Maybe this thread will still be going this summer.

Maybe I am thinking too simply but I would guess that it is one woman who was a consort of two men throughout the years. Passably a widow that remarried. just my .02

Heres one I saw in france only 16 years old when he went over to fight in the D day landings

Ran across this on a bike trail about 8 miles in on the Colorado Trail in Waterton CO.
At 18 years old Lenny may have had a sweetheart.
