Goodbye, May...

I took a trip to Lakeside Park tonight to record the sun as it set and try out a new technique for shooting sunsets before I try a sunrise tomorrow morning. I call this micro-series "Goodbye, May" as the sun sets on this month and we move into June.

To get the enhanced reds, I set my color balance to 7300K. This really brought out the reds tonight, which were otherwise very subtle.

Cool.. The colors achieved are similar to shots using a tobbaco colored filter. I'll have to try changing the color setting on my D100 and see what happens.

You demonstrate an excellent use of the white balance on modern digitals to replace the light-cutting and optics-degrading filters of old. I like the fishing silhouettes.
