    Zoo Atlanta

The weather was perfect today and the animals were out. Here are a few of my favorites.

    Nice zoo shots.
Wart hogs are the most beautiful animal in the world, I think.

You must have done some cleaning on the glass to get that Panda shot. You did good managing to get that many pictures in that zoo. You really need to check out the aquarium it is really nice, Jeff

    Re: Zoo Atlanta

Thanks Frog, I tend to agree about the wart hog but certainly the worse smelling one. Jeff it took a couple of times by to get the elephant and lion. I had to go back to the car to get our lunch, got turned around as to where I was at and went by them twice. The Panda in not behind glass. It was outside the glassed area.
A funny thing about the gorillas. They were way on the other side of their area and out of range so I randomlly fired my flash and when one of them was curious what was going on they all wound up coming right where I was at. It was a great day I love the zoo but due to the high cost rarely go. Most times I do go the lighting is really bad but cloudy skies were a blessing today.
I agree about the aquarium. I took a tour of the basement and working area, behind the scenes thing. I didn't see many fish but found out how they were taken care of and was amazed at the attention they get. Better health care than any humans for sure. Every fish has to be accounted for and taken care of. The gorillas were tough to shoot they were so dark against the background it was hard to make it work without blowing out the background. I used the flash some as well.

Great set of zoo pics Greg. I always enjoy my photo trips to the zoo with the grand kids.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Thanks OT here is a little sharper image of the Panda. I had it printed up large and took it to the school. The kids loved it. I was at the zoo as part of a field trip.
