Fun story! Camera survives a 1000 mile ocean swim!

This is a cool story! Especially for Nikon fans! But I put it here because it's quite interesting and fun to read.......and it's true. So I thought everyone would enjoy it since I did and I've never owned a Nikon.

I wonder if it was a waterproof camera or if a waterproof case was added.
Neat story and I enjoyed the sleuthing as much as being amazed that the camera survived.

Well if you read the article, Frog, it says
"... waterproof plastic case was covered with six months' worth of crusty sea growth, but the camera itself was almost pristine ..."

Interesting to say the least. Remarkable is more like it. With the 75% of the earth's surface covered with water, and the camera ends up being found 1100 miles from it's point of origin. It could have just as easily ended up in the artic, lost forever.
