Flattrack is Back: 2012 AMA Sacramento Mile

Howdy ya'll :D I met up with fellow PR member dl449 (Troy) at the legendary Sac' Mile Track. Great stuff. :thumbsup: I am going through 500 images so bear with me. :)

I will post some event pics here,in my gallery & I hope Troy will step-up and post here as well. :p

Oh, I just saw an ad for this last week but wasn't able to get to the race. I'm planning to make the Santa Rosa Mile in Sept., though. Can't wait to see the pics.

I all ready have my tickets for that one. I think this will be the first National mile there.
Hopefully I can improve on my panning by then

O.k. here are some starters....I'll post larger res. (1400) versions in my gallery :thumbsup:

I shot the event with 3 lenses. Nikkor 50mm 1.8D , sigma 28-300, & Nikkor 70-200 2.8 VR.

Looks like a blast. I will be at the Indy Mile in a few weeks and can't wait for some flat track action. It's a great way to spent the night before the GP as I will be working Ducati tent Fri, Sat, Sun. Got some great shots of Kenny Roberts back in 09 with his return to the Indy mile on his TZ750.

Image #3 of post #7 remiunds of going to Albany, Georgia with a friend to see dirt oval kart racing. We had the same view of a couple of lovelies and he went down to chat them up. Neither of them had many of their own teeth......

Don't really have a point to this, it was just an observation and a memory. :)

Shouldn't you be posting these in the Sports Photography forum? At least some of them :)
