Well, my wife and I absolutely enjoyed ourselves with Gene and Penny, Brian (Kokopeli) and his two sons at Yosemite this weekend. For Claudia and myself two days was NOT nearly enough time to shoot pictures. There's a photo op around every bend in the road. But, we did get to visit most of the major attractions and then some. The following photos are only a sample of just how AWESOME this place is.
#1 I don't know the name of this mountain but it was looking very intriguing as the day was nearing its end and as the clouds were looming overhead.
#2 Reflection at Ellery Lake, just outside the Tioga Pass entrance into Yosemite park. My wife spotted this one...too bad it wasn't early morning. Could've got that crystal clear reflection.
#3 A familiar sight*El Capitan. I used Penny's "L" series wide angle for this shot. After using this lens I've realized that I've got to get one myself. Far too many of my pictures could have used the extra range. Don't let the picture fool you...the dome is a LOT higher than it looks in this photo.
#4 Our group photo at Tuolumne Meadows with the afternoon sun blazing in our eyes. Left to right: Brian and his two sons, Claudia and Ray, Penny and Gene with grandson Terrance.
More pictures to follow.
