Adina'll have to tell you for sure, but I think it's either a Burbank Pine or a Russet spruce.

I was at Barnes and Nobles, picking up some thumb print activity books (they show you how to make all different pictures from a thumb print) and saw this at the checkout. It is The Bonsai Potato kit, which we've had a really good time with.
So my husband goes to the store to buy some potatoes, you are supposed to pick a couple that you feel at one with. Puts them in a dark drawer probably 3 days ago. Yesterday, we were cleaning up because we were having company, and he was in the pantry looking for something, and found a whole bag of pre-Bonsai'd potatoes. I bought a bag of potatoes about 3 months ago, and forgot about them. They picked the one they wanted to use on the authentic potato altar, and spent a good hour practicing their trimming techniques on the rest of them. The girls loved it.
I think Chuck is correct with Russet spruce, not sure. :)
