Even Canon Shooters Can Do Astrophotography

    Hehehe.

Check out this link. This guy made a cool composite photo with his 1D Mark II piggybacked on his telescope. By piggybacking his camera on the telescope, the stars didn't trail.

Pretty cool, even if he does shoot with a Canon Thingy! :-)

They are on my hard drive. I haven't had the chance to reduce them to 640 pixels yet. I will be posting them in the near future. I didn't do as well as with the Leonids ( I got 10 frames with meteors out of 21 frames shot), but the Persieds weren't quite as active. I shot 24 frames during the Persieds and got meteors on 7 frames. The Persieds also weren't as bright. But I'll post a few soon.

    Nikon Whatamacallit??

It's easy, it's a N80. And I did give credit where credit was due. ;-)

Geez, you make me sound ancient!

And if my ancient memory serves me, you started with "Nikon junk". ;-)

Glad I made you laugh dude. Have a good one.

I agree. While I'm as guilty as the next guy for tweaking you and Seb for shooting Canon, I'm also one of the first to say that it's the person behind the camera that matters - not what name is imprinted on it.

I'm also quick to say that ergonomics matter. How the camera feels in your hand will have a large influence on your proficiency with it. Controls that are logical to you matter more than what the next guy says are the "best" features.

Meanwhile, I'm keep shooting my Nikon light tight box.

    :-)
