    Early stages of Fall Color

I came across this scene on my ride yesterday. The sun was filtering through the trees creating a wonderful canopy of color. Unfortunaly my little P&S didn't have enough flash pop to make this really work how I wanted it to but I still like it.

this second shot was my attempt at a self portait.

    You're a ghost!

I think the colors peaked up here the weekend before last. Now all the leaves are falling off the trees. I didn't really take any fall color photos this year. I'm slipping.

I'll get my fix of Alpine color this weekend. I'm heading back to NM for GITA. and plan on lugging the 10D with me. although that might break me and leave me stranded on the trail. If that happens I guess I'll just have to become and Taos Bum. =)

I think you have an excuse for not taking fall color pictures this year.

The colors in the first shot are nice! Too bad your P&S didn't have enough oomph to do the shot justice. Don't know if the colors here are going to be very vibrant. We haven't had much rain, things will probably just skip the colors and go to brown.
