    Door County Sunset

I hooked up with Sebastian over the Labor Day weekend and we were able to sneak a few shots in amongst our other "obligations".

It's been a LOOOONNNNGG time since I went out to do any sort of landscape photography. Fortunately for me, things worked out well. I buried my tripod deep in the bushes and walked away with this.....and a few spiders.

I also shot a pano series which I hope will turn out well. It'll take me a day or two to do the work on that one though. Same light and scene (although a few moments earlier than this one), just more of it

I hope every one's weekend went as well as can be.

Sebastian shot a photo of me while I was taking either this or the pano series, I wonder if you'd be so kind as to post it? I really liked them when I saw them on your computer.

    Ciao!

Beautiful capture Trevor. Exposure is very nice on this image. Love the way you have preserved the forground color without losing the great sunset. Three cheers for this one.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Thanks for the compliment. What you see posted is actually a multiple exposure blend as the foreground was much darker than the sky. The top parts of the tall trees in the background, including the small land mass in the background. as well as the sky and sky reflection are one exposure. The foreground and rocks are a different one.

Well, I looked at the pano shot and the composition is very weak. It's difficult to compose them for me. There's just not enough water in the scene and it's overwhelmed by shrubbery and sky. I should have used a longer length lens. I'll play with it eventually but my enthusiasm isn't as great as it was for this first photo I posted.

The colour brings out the mood. I really like the scene. Great shot from that difficult lighting conditions. Nice job!

Beautiful sunset there Trevor! I'll be up there in a week for a long overdue vacation!

For the "Goats on the roof place..." The goats are no longer on the roof. I dunno what happened to them. I remember them as a kid, last year when we made the time to eat breakfast there, the goats were gone... Not sure how they keep the grass under control.

Thanks for the tech info. I have to improve my abilities in this area. Your image is beautiful, but had I been at the same place at the same time my finished product would never have been as nice. Well done.
