Does it count as being published?
If photos I've taken have been used as ads for magazine/newspaper/playbill, does that mean I'm published?

    If so, I'VE BEEN PUBLISHED!

If you were paid, it at least means you can say that you have done 'commercial' work. Congratulations !

Unfortunately, to be considered officially published, a printed piece must conform to a strict set of criteria as originally set forth during the famous 1947 International Consortium for World Publishing, and currently overseen by the United Media Print Association & League of Universal Magazine Page Artists (UMPA-LUMPA).

The determining factor is size of the printed image as well as a cross-demographic sampling of regional...

    Thanks all.

I've been so busy this week (another post) so I haven't had time to pick up the magazine, playbill, and I think one other thing.

As you may know, I've been working with a children's boutique in a very upscale area since I decided to take the leap. When we first started talking about options, they asked if I do ad work. They were looking to go in the same direction as I normally lean, and I let them know that I would be willing to work with them. First time for both of us, and it went well.

As I had no idea what to expect going in, I solicited advice from someone more knowledgable. Thanks to that advice, we both came out on top, and I will have photo credit on everything they print, and we will work together again.

    Thanks all.

It very well may be. Check the November issue of Milwaukee magazine, the actual glossy magazine, it's not a newspaper type thing. Also, if you are attending any shows that distributes Footlights, www.footlights.com I should be in there. Not on the website, but in the mags they distribute at the theater.

One more, I'll check on it.

    thanks!
