I just saw on Fox News a new type of disposable camera that is now available - Digital Video cameras for $29.59. You can choose 20 minutes out of the 500 minutes you have available to shoot on the camera which CVS will then put on a DVD for $12. I don't know how the camera works as I didn't see the whole thing, but they said you can shoot 500 minutes, review it - then take the 20 min you chose to CVS for processing, and get the DVD in 1/2 hour.
It's all being done by CVS, although you will be able to purchase the cameras at Targot and other electronic stores. They showed some "footage" samples - on TV - they didn't look bad, about the same quality as some of the better cell phone camera still shots.
They said they are available at CVS now presuming "your" CVS has them in stock.
I didn't put this on News and Rumours or Digital Video, because I don't have sufficient info - but thought it was interesting enough to post here. Also, I thought people who don't usually check the Digital Video forum might also be interested.
