    Didache & Overbeyond in Brighton

    Hi all

Today overbeyond (Tom) and myself (Didache) met up and drove down to Brighton for a day's shooting. Brighton is a seaside town on the south coast of England and we could not have been blessed with better light. It was glorious all day long (although the temp was a bit nippy!)

Here are the first three from me:

The first is Tom himself passing by some colourful beach huts. The second is a view looking into an art shop - I call it "Red Shoes". The third is called "Skylark", for obvious reasons.

I have put another image in critique.

Some more pictures will follow once Tom has put a few up.

    Cheers
    Mike

Great photos, and looks like you two had lots of fun.

I also like #1 most – bright, eye-catching colors and symmetry.

Looking forward to seeing some from Overbeyond...

Great shots Mike. I am glad the weather was in you favor. Seems I remember a picture of Toms of the out buildings a couple of years back?

Well I have finally got around to mine this morning.
For this outing I left the big camera and just brought along my pocket compact to give it a run. Sorry now that I did not bring the dslr because it was a perfect day for some serious shooting.

However here are some taken with the baby. A bit of a mixed bag here that includes one of Mike talking to the huts.

ps Greg; good memory. I did indeed post one of beach huts a good while back but it was at another coastal town on the east coast.

Just three more from me ...

First, another of Tom photographing the Grand Pier

Second, a coffee/tea place, all shut up for the winter

Third, something more "creative" - I call it Trinity .. I'm trying to work out if there is any merit in it

On another subject, in the pic Tom took of me sitting down, you can just se my new camera bag - someone gave me some mad money for a present, and I bought a Billingham which I had been humming and hawing about for years!

    Cheers

I really love the 3rd one actually! I love the boat with the lighting and view of the rocks and water behind!

Great shots! The little huts made those shots- especially with the pale yellow behind them. Inspirational indeed. I think it's neat that you both got pictures of each other-having a buddy makes taking pictures so much better!

And Mike, for the last "creative one" I rather like it. I don't know much about composition or placement but I think the sign laying right on the horizon really centers this for me. It's very possible that I have NO clue what I'm talking about, but I thought it was neat
