Dating advice: taking pictures of us?
    Hello everyone.
I use an Elan 7 w/ 50mm f/1.8 lens. I've planned an..outting with my girlfriend. It'll be only us out on/near a lake for a day. I'd like to be able to take pictures, but I'm not sure how to go about it with my setup. Think two people madly in love dancing around while snapping spontaneous pictures. Is there a way I can use my camera to do that since I have to focus and everything before taking the picture? Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe I should get a disposable camera or borrow a P&S for the day? Hopefully you have some ideas :o .

    Thanks!

p.s. I finally have gotten my phone lines put in, and my broadband installed, so I should start visiting more frequently. Here are a few of my pictures for anyone interested:

a pns might be more managable for hand holding...

Maybe you can get a tripod (or other stable structure to prop the camera on, tripod is easiest and most versitile.), figure out your range of view and get a remote control shutter release or use the timer feature... basically, set the time, run over and just dance around/do your thing in the view range. maybe worry about focus, maybe not. Depends on the mood.
