D700 high ISO
well I am thinking getting the D700 so I decided t rent one to see the results of the high ISO. the shots are from 1500 to 6400 ISO. I took shots of my friends band in very low poor lighting. I did not use any noise removal software. Hope you enjoy them. oh yeh the white specks are bugs flying around.

I've said it below and I'll say it again. I LOVE my D700. I think these pics should convince you that it's a good investment.

I just got one myself. The highest ISO tried so far is ISO8000. I bought it for its hgh ISO performance. If there is going to be a D700x with higher pixel count, like the D3x vs the D3, I don't think it's high ISO performance will be better than the D700. Incidentally, DxO mark ranks D700 higher than D3 in that regard:

The couple of flower shots that I posted on the critique forum lately were shot with D700, too, but with ISO 200 and camera on tripod.
