    D200 first serious shoot

It was the election of the village beauty queen last night. This is the opportunity for the local theatre group to do their stuff - and for me to do some stage shots. I don't do anything complicated - just set the camera to Shutter priority 1/200s, 1600 ISO, 80-200 f2.8 with SB800 and hope for the best.

This year the D200 replaced the F100 I usually use. What can I say? I shot RAW but so far I haven't modified the exposure on any of the images. 382 shots that all looked right.

This lady sang a piece of German light opera. I couldn't believe it was live, she was perfect. It always amazes me how much talent there is around.

    I'm impressed.

Keep wringing that D200 out Charles. And keep posting photo's from it as well.

When you feel you've got the hang of it (the D200 that is), please write a review for us.

Here's another 1600 ISO picture done in the Chateau de Versailles on a dull day. And a 100 ISO picture done at the funfair on a very cold morning the week before, my first real picture with the camera. Printed A4 size (8x10+ inches) they look very good.

    Cheater!

You could make any camera look good

They all look great. I love the light in the "fun fair" photo.

    Re: D200 first serious shoot

Great shot Charles, glad to see all the new equipment and gear is working out fine. That second shot in the Chateua is absolutely marvellous! Well done!
