    A couple from the weekend....

You can't go to Coney Island without SOME color film! I haven't developed the black and white, but I did get the color processed. Here is one from the Holga and one from the pinhole. I'm going to have to start carrying my tripod around for the pinhole - this was one of the better images. I managed to balance it on a perfectly level fire alarm box. The ferris wheel looks out of focus when, in fact it was moving - I used a 3 second exposure. All are scanned from contact sheets; I didn't put it in the toy camera gallery, expecially the pinhole shot with the tape from the contact process, grrrr.....

    Hey Megan,

I really like the first one. It reminds me of being a six-year old kid, looking up and see the very exciting but oddly intimidating scenes from a carnival. I like the pinhole effect too.... very cool.

    Thanks for posting

    CI Brooklyn

The good thing about Coney Island is you don't have to walk to far to get tons of photos. There are also ample benches about in the rides area and on the boardwalk.

    PS - film info

I used Portra VC in the Holga as well as the pinhole - it's a great film for these "alternative" cameras.

Good compositions. They both have the look of old-time, faded postcards from fun times past. Nice work, as usual.

    Talking Good job Megan!

I love these. They are so much fun to view. I can't imagine the process results in such nice photos. You do capture what you're looking for! Great eye......I'm tempted to get a Holga............discipline, discipline.........I have to keep playing with my new lens......

These are great Megan. Love the color - can't wait to see the B&Ws! I'm especially drawn to the "Thrills!" in the corner of the first one - it just fits the whole image so well.

    oooooooo ahhhhhh

the first one creeps me out--it's like a faded 70's horror movie pic or something like a monster waiting to come out of a manhole peering up for it's next victim....ok. so maybe that was a bit much... but I REALLy do like that first shot
