    Sold my N80 Today

I'm totally filmless now that I sold my N80 today. In actuality, I hadn't used it since I bought a D70 last May. I'd like to get a back-up digital body, but even a used one is still a whole lot of money for back-up.

Nice stuff, way to join the digital side! Once you turn digital you never go back

I'm shooting both, but it's not for everybody. One thing about digital - with film, two bodies can be very useful for two different types of film. With digital, you can change ISO with every shot and turn it into a B&W later, etc.

Of course if you're using any camera on a job it's best (an understatement) to have a backup. So unless you're working with it, you might be just fine with one. I agree about spending the money on a second one though - they go obselete so fast that it's hard to justify it if you don't need it. And DSLR rentals are very expensive, probably for that reason.

    Congratulations!

It's difficult to let go of the film camera, but personally I found that within 6 months I didn't miss it - although I still have my Rebel 2K. I'll give it away when I find someone who really needs a film camera and can't afford it - student or someone.

I have done much the same thing. I haven't run one roll of film thru the N80 since purchasing the D70 last spring. I keep thinking that I will get it out and shot some slides but it just never happens. I really like the N80 and would hate to see it go but a second digital body makes a lot more sense. Just to keep from having to change lenses out on a windy day with dust and dirt everywhere. When I shot film I always carried two bodies so it sure wouldn't be hard to get use to again.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
