What I am thankful for this year...

A week ago Karen and I found out that we are having a little girl, due 3/28/07. I am very excited and thankful for our future gift. This is her first picture...

Her name is Alessandra Mercedes Crannell. After going through a miscarriage early this year having her is very special.

Happy thanksgiving to everybody and be thankful to your friends and family.

Congratulations, My wife had my daughter at age 44. I have a couple of dozen of those ultarsound pictures. Even a three D one. Take it from an older parent, enjoy every minute of her life you can. It seems like I was looking at ultrasound pictures only a week ago and now my daughter has just turned two.

I'm sitting here waiting on my daughter to get home for Thanksgiving, on her way back to KY yesterday she stopped by the doctor for her first ultrasound. We knew she was going but not if she would find out the sex or not. When we got home there was a vase of blue flowers sitting on the table. Her way of telling us that Jack would have a little brother in April. I'm excited for you Loren and thankful this Thanksgiving day that your daughter is strong and healthy and you have that wonderful picture of her. Can't wait to see the picture of Jack's brother that we'll have sometime tomorrow.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Great news, Loren! BTW, we missed you in Chicago. Wandering around downtown, I still think about that first year we all got together...

Great news, all the best to the three of you!
Thirty five years ago my wife gave birth to our two oldest kids,Steve and Samantha,no ultrasound taken then, was a complete shock to everyone! The irony is this,my daughter Samantha now manages the Ultrasound Dept. in Mt Sinai Hospital in NY City.
Good luck, hug 'em every day. Steve B.

    Hi Greg,
At 39 I can relate to what you are saying, and I plan to enjoy and appreciate my wife and daughter every day. I've been able to do many things, but this is the most exciting.
Thank you and happy belated birthday to your daughter.

    Re: One question...

    Hey Steve,
I was thinking of the Chicago gathering, and wished I could have brought the LF camera to the great Windy City. It's a very cool town and both times were great. I do remember how great of an experience the first trip was.

Our little girl will have to be a traveler, so maybe we can get together for the next gathering.

Congratulations Loren! Exciting times ahead :-) and of course lots of new excuses to use your camera and get new equipment (after family expenses of course). Looking forward to lots of baby pics from you in the future.
