    Heeeellllpppp!!!!

I'm at my office, decided to do a few things. I uploaded photos I needed to the web and got to the office, attempted to right click and save the file and it will only allow me to save the file as a BMP instead of the JPG which is the format it's in! Anyone know how to resolve that? I have been trying to fix this for the past hour and am totally bewildered. Never had it happen before!

This drives me nuts. Empty your Temporary Internet Files. There's a MS Knowledge Base Article on this somewhere, I'll link if I find it.

    No problem! I may be a sub-par photographer but I can fix a computer like a bad-ass

You know, Firefox doesn't have this problem or a lot of other problems IE has ;)

i used FireFox and Mozilla before it exclusively for a long time but eventually the slow initial starts, wrestling it to work with encryption-heavy sites (like my bank), and sites that were ONLY coded with IE in mind (bastards!) have beat me into resignation.

i have accepted my Microsoft contolled fate.

greg -- when was the last time you used Firefox? I am using version 0.9 and is slick. It's fast and handles pages equally as well as IE. I used to use Netscape, gave up on it, fell in love with IE (being a software engineer, IE was a dream for internet apps). However, now that Firefox is equally as good, I'm sticking with it.

Hm, maybe six months ago. I'm sure I'll give it shot once IE pushes me over the edge again. I do a lot of web work so I'm forced to rely on it for proofs as it is.

Speaking of which another HUGE IE annoyance is that the PC version is rediculously lax on proper coding, yet the Mac version is insanely strict. Personally I'd prefer that they both be strict but at the very least they should at least be the same (especially since I don't have a Mac laying around to test sites).

Well, I'm on the board running the PR now (it did a much better job importing IE settings than I remember previous versions doing). We'll see how it goes here at work.

I also started running GIMP here at work the other day. Its been a good month for open source.

The open-source answer to Photoshop. I was using an old Linux laptop for awhile between computers and got used to using it. I just now started using the Windows install here at work where I don't have easy access to PS. The following install seems pretty stable:
