Carnivale
One of the 2500 images from that night. Horrendous lighting, as the blown-out foot shows. But I did my best. The noise was made worse by curves on account of trying to preserve the highlights.

Cut that crap out! You could take better performance shots than me with your eyes closed. Love it, very dramatic. It's never easy, you did your best and it shows.

Dude, That's about as awesome as it gets.

You know, you're right. When all is said and done, you basically suck.
Uh, except for your photos that is. They're basically awesome...

Re: Carnivale
This is a great shot - the curve of the cloth gives it a graphic quality as well as a dramatic one. Know what you mean about noise though - in my experience red is always susceptible.

Re: Carnivale
Wow, thanks everyone for the kind words! Wish I had done this well at the football game tonight...

Re: Carnivale
I replaced the image with a newer version. Tweaked the curves slightly, ran it through Noise Ninja and changed the border color to a slightly darker red.

Re: Carnivale
My first impression with the sweeping fabric is that it reminds me of Spawn. In a good way of course!
Nice work.
The fabric in the lower left might use a bit more punch in brightness? I'd even think about letting the fabric there sweep over the border and fade out at the edge. Just an idea and I certainly would not want to screw up a fine photo!

Re: Carnivale
The kind of thing I'd love an opportunity to shoot !
Wonderful image, I think I'd not have dared crop off the edge of the silk as you did.

Re: Carnivale
Wow! To quote a poster above - it doesn't get better than this.
Beautiful shot.

Re: Carnivale
Thanks DRG, SW and Liz.
Paul, why do say "dare" to cut off the silk? Just curious. :)
