Not sure if I told anyone here, but after all of this happened with Becky, I thought about getting a photograph printed for the dentist as a thank you for treating Becky so well.

Well, I did it and Becky presented the dentist with the print (below) at the end of April.

I went to the dentist today, and, as you sit in the dentist's chair and face away from the dentist, directly in front of you is a wall. This is where Becky's picture is displayed.
The dentist says her patients have been asking about it and she proudly replies "That's a patient of mine."

I have NEVER seen such a big smile on a dentist's face.
She is still smiling, from ear to ear. The same kind of smile she had on her face the day Becky presented her with the photograph.

That made my day today, seeing how happy I have made someone with one of my photographs and I bet the dentist feels appreciated too :D

We see the dentist, that carried out all the serious treatment, in July. We also gave him a print but we didn't get to see his reaction as he was on holiday at the time. So I had to leave the print with his assistant.

You got it Ali. What a beautiful girl.

A abscess is the worst pain I've ever been through. Mind you I've had 4 c-sections, labored with 3 and almost died from complications to another surgery a few years back. Nothing compares to the pain your daughter has right now. At least to me.

I'll keep her in my prayers and hope it's only one tooth. That poor doll.

Becky's alot better now Jeta.
This all happened at the beginning of April.
Not sure you would have read all the posts but after she had had the root canal the dentist showed us the x-ray. Under her bottom teeth there is no bone.
The dead nerve in her tooth has caused bacteria, over the years, to eat it's way though it leaving her teeth a little wobbly.
She said she tried to move them a little the other day, and found they were slightly more solid :thumbsup:
We are hoping that means the bone has started to regenerate.
Hopefully we will have more answers in July.

OMG, I just read through the thread. Obviously I need to read all the way through b4 I post. :D It's pretty darn cool to have a dentist here posting. :)

Glad to hear her teeth are feeling more solid. I'll keep her in your prayers. As a parent is is so hard to watch our kids suffer. I'll be thinking of you all. :)

That's pretty cool about the photo Alison. She certainly has a beautiful smile.
Hope she doesn't have any additional problems.

Here is an update on Becky's progress with her Dental treatment.
She went to see the Dentist today ...
It's good news!!!
Her other teeth are still alive and she has some new bone growing underneath her teeth! YAY!!!
She will be seeing the dentist again in September.
I am one happy Mummy :D

Just a quick update on Becky's progress...

Back in July 2007, her Dentist said that if the bone below her teeth doesn't grow at the rate he wants it to grow, she would have to go into hospital for surgery.

She has been worrying, hoping and praying that it doesn't come to that.

Well, she saw her Dentist on 19th March. He x-rayed her jaw again.
He sat there with a big smile on his face and told us that he was very pleased with her progress, he's very happy with the rate of the bone growth going on and he is going to see her again in 6 months. YAY!

I am so happy for her.
