    Camera Broke

As I said in another post, my digital rebel xt broke. It just stopped working. I don't know whether to get it repaired or just get a new camera. Problem is I want to get a semi pro one and just wasn't ready to make the commitment. Was trying to wait and see if this infatuation with photography will last.

The problem is I bet getting the Rebel fixed will cost hundreds of dollars. It costs a whale of a lot just to get the damned thing cleaned.

Any thoughts on the best price-performance point in Canon just above the Rebel?

Hmm. Maybe I will go back to drawing. I suck nearly as much at that.

Well if you want to scale up, the Xsi could be an option or the newer T1i or its bigger bother T2i but all of them are Rebels if you want that semi-pro...what ever that means you have to go for the EOS line which now a days starts with the 50D but I guess you can for a 40D second hand for a good price and its a damm nice camera.

    Canon XSi
    Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS USM
    Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS

also the Xti is a nice step up from the et and can be had for a few hundred bucks. Great camera, was my first dslr and still have it.
Get an estimate first on your XT and see where you go from there. . .
