    Busy moving to Washington State...
I'll be packing and cleaning over the next few days, and then starting on Monday, we will be driving from NC to WA. That will get us to Washington by 8/7, 9/7 at the latest (I may require more stops than my husband thinks).

So, for the next week and a half, I ask that you do nothing exciting, go nowhere neat, or post anything worthwhile until I get settled a week from this Sunday.

    Deal? :D

Wow - that's a hell of a drive. I hope you pick a good route and get to do some photography along the way. Where in Washington are you moving?

Thank you all! LOL Speed. Not my fault. The breadwinner of the family was made an offer that he couldn't refuse, and since he is the one who keeps me in the photo habit, I figured it was best to move!

We're moving to Issaqah, just south of Bellevue. I have a sister out there (come to think of it, I have a sister or brother, or some sort of relative in just about all 50 states). I lived in Germany for 8 years so I'm well aware of the rain. But if you break down the stats, Washington DC actually gets more days of rain a year than the Seattle area does. And it doesn't get very cold. About 40 is the winter average. The summers are very moderate.

But it's all that beautiful greenery that has me excited. It's just gorgeous out there. So I'm looking forward to my first Alaskan Cruise, and my first trip whale watching, and my first trip out to Rainier. Yeah, I'm pretty psyched.

But Speed, don't despair. It's only for a few years, then we come back to NC!!

You will love Rainier! The park is in my back yard - so to speak. I can be "in" the Nat'l park in about 15 minutes from my house. Lots to see and do in this beautiful state!
