    Another great shot, Jeff. I think you're really lovin' that nice lens! You sure know how to use it! BTW, have you posted any of these - or other photos - lately on the NG website? Just wondering. :-)

    This image and the Egret ate excellent. I bow to the master of hand held. If I were to try hand held on a 70-200 with 2x, you wouldn't be able to tell the egret from the pelican. - Terry

    Liz, thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment. As far as the lens and 2x teleconverter go I really like them both and they work well together. As far as the National Geographic sit I had forgotten about it, I will post some of these on the site soon.

    Thanks Terry for your very positive comments, they really mean a lot to me when you take the time to look at my photos and leave a comment.

    Jeff,
    I've been off the site for a while, just got back on and started looking for your posts.
    The egret and this brown Pelican just prove;
    " A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." paraphrase to….
    "A bird in the hand held photo, by Jeff is worth two in a typical tripod photo."
    Can you determine my appreciation for you excellent photos?
