Bodie / Mono Lake Gathering? October 14-17

My wife and I will be going to Mono Lake / Bishop on Saturday October 15th, and then Bodie State Park on Sunday before heading back to Yosemite for sunset and unfortunately back to work.

We are staying at the Topaz Lodge, which is pretty inexpensive, quite nice, and the food is awesome and cheap.

The fall colors are incredible right now. So if anybody is interested let us know...

Where are all those places?!? :confused: :)

These locations are in the Eastern Sierras. It would be a difficult trip to fly into, but I wanted to send the invitation. It's so remote, but luckily the route through Yosemite is open so it will make the trip shorter. When it's closed due to snow it takes about 8 hours to get to by car.

Only a $20 filet mignon is at the end of the line, so it's a good incentive. :)

I'm sorry you cannot make it. We have tried to make it three times to no avail. Bad weather.

Hey Loren,
Topaz is such a beuatiful spot. My mom lives about an hour-hour and a half away in Nevada.
Topaz's water level has fallen so much over the last few years... Im curious to see what it looks like now.
If I didnt already have plans (American LeMans in Monterey) that same weekend we'd definitely go.
