Birds not bikes

I've been trying my hand at bird photos this week while away at grandmas with the kids. I can see why really large lenses are to rage for this sort of thing. Now that the kids are grown and live far away the wildlife have come back to my parents home in Northern Nevada -- but they are a skittery bunch. Here are some of my captures so far. I'm away from my workstation so all I've had much ability to do is crop them down to post (when I get home I'll mess with them in Photoshop). ;) And, boy does my camera have a hard time focusing on the mottled earth tone feathers of the birds of prey.
