    Not a selfportrait....

This is not a selfportrait just a picture of myself. Actually it was taken Saturday afternoon by my wife Joy. I was a participant in a local tourism event called Supper with the Spirits. My character was lawyer, judge and legislature who lived in the mid 1800's. The event was at the local cemetery and we had people stationed at their characters tombstone and as groups would come by we told a little about the life of our character and what was happening in our town at that time. We had folks from pioneer days to the 1950's that were reincarnated for the evening. It was a lot of fun to do and everyone seemed to enjoy the evening. Hope you enjoy the picture.

This is a wonderful shot. Just wonderful! ;)

You look so dignified......proper......wise.........etc, etc, etc.

I love the pose, the clothes - and it's just perfect for the character you described.

    Re: Not a selfportrait....

Thanks guys. I know that this is not the most flattering picture of myself I could have posted. However I have always enjoyed dressup. As a child halloween was a real treat when I got to play make believe and dressup as someone I was not. I participated in a community theater for a few years and had a blast. I only had an article from an 1873 newspaper to draw my profile from, but I hope that I was able to give this gentelman some life some 130 years after his death. I played him as a rather pompous man who having never been married and with no children had erected the tallest and most imposing monument in the the town cemetery. And yes Chuck I do think he may have been something of a grouch too.

I've worked hard a building up this image. I would hate to post a picture that would destroy it.

Thanks Bek. I don't guess I should be posting unflattering pictures of myself, but than I do have a reputation to protect. Given that last picture you posted of yourself you would think that we would all be trying to put our best foot forward as you did in that great self portrait. I'm looking forward to your next installment. Sorry about pizza night, but just a tad far for me.
