    Been A while...

    Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you all know that I am still alive, and I even visit the site on a pretty regular basis. I have been lurking around, though not posting. I have not shot much this year, a fact that I am not proud of, so I have nothing new to offer. I just wanted to say hi.

Recent developments in my life are: I broke up with my girlfriend carla, but we are on the path to mending our relationship. In fact, we have a date tonight to see the new chipmunks movie.

I have been working, since September, at the library at my school. It's really nice to have a job again...

I am still going along in school, though the spring will probably be the last sememster I spend on my current course of study. I have recently come to the conclusion that I do not belong in the I.T. field. A conclusion confirmed when my teacher told me that I was in the wrong field of study. She says I have the talent for it, but not the will or desire. What I do desire though, is to help people. So I have decided that one way or the other I am going to go back to school to get my degree in clinical psychology.

Anyway, that is me right now. I hope to have new images to share in the near future.

    You guys rock!

Hey, Almo. I was just wondering how you were doing the other night.
I know what you mean about I.T. as I supposedly have the aptitude for it but found I didn't like sitting around talking about numbers and technical jargon and went back to my original field working with disabled people.
Girls can sure put a lurch in your life for sure and I hope it does work out for you and Carla. I was 45 before I found a woman I could live with forever. Just giving unasked for advice but if it don't work, don't look back!
I know you'll pick up that camera again soon and when you do, send us some pics even if they're bad ones. It'll help me feel not so out of place.
    Keep Shooting!

Good to hear from you, Almo. Sounds like your making some good and important decisions for yourself and positive things will be in the cards for you. Sometimes, when positive things happen for us, they don't seem that way in the beginning . . .
    Best to you

    Almo,

It's good to hear from you and know you're doing okay. Life is not easy, and we all have our ups and downs. It sounds like you're handling everything quite well, and it's good that you have a steady job. I hope it all works out with Carla. In the meantime, I'm glad you brought us up to date - and try to post more frequently.

    Hey John,
It's good to hear from you. Hang in there, it can be tough to switch directions after investing so much of yourself in one path. It sounds like you're doing what's right for you, which is great.

Good luck with your relationship with Carla. I wasn't as old as Frog when I found the right one, but at 30 I wasn't a spring chicken either.
