Re: Back after the grind...
Nice to hear from you again. I'll miss your baseball image. Please remember that the D70 will take photographs of other subjects.
Re: Back after the grind...
I find that sometimes taking a break from shooting is really good for me. The same applies to practicing an instrument. I have played drums and percussion for about 12 years, and I took about a year and half off when I had to sell my set. When I started up again earlier this year I found that it was fun for me again, and I had better ideas on how to play better. I did the same thing with my photography this summer. The darkroom I use was closed for the summer, and I couldn't afford processing costs, so I didn't shoot a whole lot. I just started shooting more this past month or so, and I have found that shooting is more fun, and I have a better sense of what I want to shoot-I have found a style is what I am trying to say. Read some books, try something new, and you will find that when you are ready to pick your camera back up you will enjoy it even more.
Just like OT said I will also miss seeing your baseball photos. I have respect for you sports shooters.

Re: Back after the grind...
Actually, I was hoping to get some good 'Fall colors' shots, but the weather has been so rainy, cold, and generally nasty, that I wasn't able to get out. It seems like in my area, there was no smooth transition from summer to fall. The season changed in the midst of terrible weather, and I really lost the opportunity. We had our earliest snowfall in many, many years on Oct 12, and things were just plain rotten as far as weather. Very few sunny days. :cryin:
