    Israel's 62nd anniversary (plus protest)

Here are some journalism photo's that were taken today. It was at the Santa Monica College campus. Students were celebrating Israel's 62nd anniversary, while next to it there was a small protest group. I know these things are opinion based, but I try to be as unbiased as posible, and just document what is shown there and nothing more. But I have to admit, protests in general get my attention more than anything else.

    Here are the protesting shots.

Another argument. May seem a little repetitive, but our college news paper wants variety on the same issue.

Excellent! And I actually think that it's good that it didn't get more heated... there's enough heat in this world. A testament to all involved that people can believe and demonstrate passionately without erupting into Us vs. Them and escalating to violence. Once people start getting angry, any hope of understanding the other side is lost.

It seems like civilized young people coping with strong disagreement. I was encouraged by these photos. Good journalism.

Thank you Megan. I completely agree with you, about free speech here in America. I know if it was in some other strict countries, a little spark like this could of transformed to a full on blaze. Not saying that it cant happen here too which it does, but its more tolerated here.

How can one be unbiased about the plight if Israel. It frustrates me amazingly that they are on the chopping block again. Never again? Right....

daq7 when I say unbiased I mean base on the images I have shown and that I havent stated how I feel on this issue. Obviously I have an opinion, I wont share what opinion that might be, but again I'm just sharing these images for what its worth.
