Anyone using a manual camera with a f1.4 lense?
I am contemplating trading in my f2 50mm (for my manual focus SLR) for a f1.4 so that I can get a higher shutter speed in low light conditions. I shoot a lot in dense forest underneath the canopy where this isn't a lot of light. My subjects are 15-30 feet away so I was thinking that a f1.4 would be able to get the whole subject (usually an animal or hiker) in focus at that range. Some of my shots came out a bit on the blurry side (a lot were exposed at 1/30, some at 1/15) and I was thinking that the jump from f2 to f1.4 would help me get the shutter speed back up to 1/60. Do you think I should trade? When I trade in my lense it will only cost me 20 bucks to do the swap. Thanks for your time.

Well, I've used manual cameras with an f/1.8 with fine results, so describing your shooting scenario, the 1.4 should be a great choice for you. Let's see some images when you start working with it.
