Anyone see the fireball last night?

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/04/15/m...ex.html?hpt=T2

I was in bed, listening to the weather last night. They had just said there was a chance of thunderstorms in the area over the night and the next day. I turned the TV off to go to sleep. I saw a bright light flash and figured it was either lighting, or the headlights of a car going down the street. A few moments later I heard what I assumed was thunder following the lightning. I got up and opened the window a little bit so I could listen to the "thunder storm" and then went to bed. When I got to work this morning I found out that what I had seen/heard last night was not thunder or lightning. Wish I would have gone outside to check it out.

This is weird. I had a dream about ball lightning last night, and I remember running to grab my camera and tripod in it! I had no clue about this though. Either a big meteor or aliens I figure.

no fireballs in NC...just a bear raiding the bird feeders @ 11pm.
I walked out to the deck to take a pic...bear just looked at me & huffed.
I ran back inside without taking a pic.

According to the NBC News tonight, they are calling it a meteoroid that could have been the size of a VW. They also said it broke up into pieces the size of a football and landed somewhere in Wisconsin.

Saw a couple when I was young and spent the summers sleeping outside. No one would believe me when I told them what I saw so good thing this one had lots of witnesses.

Nope, we are just going to have ash clouds from the volcano.

All opinions expressed by this person are purely that, opinions which means she doesn't actually know anything about photography.
