    Another Self Portrait
I know we have a thread somewhere with self portraits, but it's getting kind of long in the tooth and I since I just did an impromptu selfer Sunday I thought I'd start a new one so I wouldn't have to look at my last feeble attempts again. I was just passing a mirror on my way back in the house with a camera in my hand and couldn't resist the urge. Feel free to post up any new selfers you have or rush right out and get a few and post them.

Thanks Liz. You are so right about that getting older thing. I feel really ancient when some of these young dudes post selfers climbing mountains and the like.

I knew I could count on you to jump in with a selfer. And I hate to admit it but since I've been reading about the D3 and D700 the D200 does seem more like a Canon.

Just kidding of course. Doesn't matter to me if a photographer is using the latest and greatest or the a throw away from the discount shelf. It's the image that counts.

Yes, that is the plain truth. As I always say when someone asks me what camera they should buy: I don't tell people what cameras to buy, or even suggest what I think is best. I always say, get the camera that feels right to you. Don't worry about brands, or trends, or any of that nonsense. Get the one that fits you.

I shoot with Canon because physically it feels right, image wise it makes me the happiest, and performance wise, I can control it like no other. It didn't work for me and Oly, or Pentax, however, those were two very good cameras from both ends of the spectrum. The E-500 reminded me that I was an advanced user, and the K10D reminded me how big my hands are...

To be honest, the only reason I never tried Nikon was that I could not afford it at the times I was looking to switch. Believe me, I researched the hell out of it, but I could never make it work. Who knows, had I been able to I might be using a Nikon now, but I doubt it...:p

Thanks Lori. I always have the opposite happen. I come off way to serious in my self portraits. I don't do many and I never get creative enough. I'm hoping that others will post some really creative shots that will inspire me.

Come on people where are those selfers??? Turn that camera around and make a fool out of your self. Don't leave Almo and I hanging. Here's another from the same session just to bump the thread.

You don't need a camera in the picture. I'm just not good enough to keep it out. Wish I could get that nice relaxed expression like you have captured in a self portrait. I'm always way to stiff. Great job on yours. Thanks for playing.

Cool shot Hollis. I like the Mountain Man look myself. I'm in TN this weekend, how about that. Getting ready to take off on a little photo expedition, maybe I'll get a chance to try another selfer.
