    Annual Chicago group?

How's it looking guys? October isn't looking good for me, the 10th/11th of November I might already be down in that area...

    Anyone?

Just a reminder. Asylum Steve out of Florida still runs the Chicago operation.

Sebastian's my Lieutenant, so any deal you make with him is the same as dealing with me... :cornut:

Yeah, I'm looking at mid-November again, and again I plan on a fashion shoot, so the offer to assist is still good...

BTW, only one rule for this year. NO ESPN Sports restaurant!

I had a good time last year - if I am invited again this year it would be great. This time I won't work the night before. If you don't want me there I can give you dates I can make it and you can plan around them:thumbsup:

Ben, you can come. I've discussed it with our leader, and he said it was okay.

Will be good to see you again!

Steve, if it's the weekend I mentioned previously, I'm there. Let me know, we are planning around two kids in TaeKwonDo, the Christmas season, a neurotic dog, a traveling spouse, rollerdery...you get the idea......

I would love to make it this year as I missed last year. As long as I have no other plans, I have to see with the gf.

The Chicago Area Photography School - Nov 18th

On Sunday, Nov. 18th the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association is hosting the Chicago Area Photography School at the Elgin Community College in Elgin, IL. Not sure if anyone would be interested in going to something like that, but something to keep in mind when choosing a weekend to get together in Chicago.

You can go to www.chicameraclubs.org to learn more about what types of classes they will be offering. Registration fee is $75 for non members.

    There are 2 options available.

Option 1 is called "Getting The Most Out Of Your Images When Using Photoshop". This is a 6 hour class being taught by Eddie Tapp.

Option 2 is called "Expanding Your Photographic Skills & Artistry". This option lets you choose 6 - 1 hour long classes. There are 16 classes to choose from, so go to their site to read more about them if you're interested.

I just got a flier for this in the mail today, so I thought I would share it with you.

Also on November 17 is the magnificent mile - lighting of the lights and the parade - (same weekend we met up last year) - might be a good weekend to stay away from if we don't want to end up eating at ESPN again due to long waits and lots of people.

Well, if you mean my trip, I keep delaying it because of money. As of now, I'm trying to book a weekend in December. I should know more in the next few days...

Yeah, but there's too many other people that can jump higher than me and grab it before I can...

The real problem is the prices in Chicago for November went up quite a bit over a year ago. I could get a much cheaper hotel, but I really want to stay at the same one as last year because it's a very funky-looking boutique hotel, and I plan on doing a fashion shoot there.

For some reason the prices drop a lot in December. Hmmm, could it be because the weather will be cold as a witch's, er...fingernails?!?

Should anyone happen to be flying into Chicago on December 15, and feel like a short drive, I am turning 30, and will be buying dinner for anyone I've ever met.

Well, okay, anyone I've ever met who comes to Milwaukee with a present for me

That looks like the weekend I'll be up there. You deserve nothing but the best for your 30th. So, why don't you take everyone to the finest restaurant in Chicago?

I think I can fit that into my schedule. The big three-oh. I remember it well. No, I don't.

I haven't looked into hotels since I stayed the night two years ago and it was expensive enough then! Think I've found better deals in mid-town Manhattan...

I remember my four-oh very well. Five-oh not so much. Guess that's normal, eh?

But my fear now is Adina won't be able to make it into Chi-town that weekend because of her stupid birthd, er...I mean special celebration...

Adina could always have her bash in Chicago, combined with a PR gathering that would almost be worthy of a national holiday!

Bah, she can rent a bus and bring them with.

I'm pretty good with the musical Trival Pursuit questions. Unfortunately that carefully honed skill doesn't pay a lot of bills.

Happy 30 Adina, I think I remember that one, what with the 49 looming on the horizon for me. Enjoy the heck out of yourself. I'll sign up for the gathering as soon as the Florida Lottery does their job correctly and pulls my numbers.
