Alaska Photos 8 - Denali National Park, Part 1

Some shots from Denali National Park. They say you have to be lucky to see the tops of the mountains there (especially Mount McKinley). I guess we were. The wildlife we saw wasn't very close to the road and I didn't get many excellent shots of it (as you can see here). I think you need a lot of dedication and luck to really get the really good animal photos there.

Entering the park. Some nice combinations of clouds and sun.



Bullwinkle and his son. This is about the closest I made it to a moose.



Trees here, which are sort of touch and go.



The barren semi-tundra.



A bear and her cub. This was really far away, hence, the lack of clarity of the image.



Beautiful mountain range. The day before it was solid rain and doubt they saw much of anything.



I am thinking this isn't an easy climb ...

Again, what great pictures. Just wondering since I see is some animals, how quiet is it there?
