After taking suggestions,,,this is the final---I think

Thnaks to everyone kindly offered advice input brain power and everything else it was really helpful to get such diverse opinions...it helped me to realize that I wasn't thinking from a customer's perspective...so aftger weighing and deliberating and fighting to get it "right"...this is I believe close the the final front image on the card...I may opt to leave the back blank or have them screen a complimentary color...

Thnaks again for ALL of your help...I love this place...everyone is always so helpful; and generous and giving of their time ;)

Excellent! I wouldn't change a thing, except to say that one image (far left) looks shadowed but not the others. Perhaps it's the small size, I don't know, but if not then you need to be consistent with the shadow on all the pictures if you're going to utilize that effect.

Love the color scheme and layout, and yet...

Nat, I hate to be one to throw doubts on your well thought-out design process, and I think what you have here is definitely a winning design, but the AD in me feels this is a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.

When I REALLY take a critical look at the images you've chosen, I have to tell you I don't think either of the end shots are that strong.

Seems to me there were a few shots on your bw design from a day or so ago that are better than the bridal portrait on the left (vignetting of it is a little funky, too), and as far as the shot on the right, while the baby looks fine, the overall pic is a bit awkward with that "head of hair" just sticking in from the side.

I think the basic layout is fine, but you should consider plugging other shots in the end spaces and see if it represents your work better.

I also agree with Ray that you need to make the drop shadows consistent...

I think it looks great designwise. Again, I'll agree with Steve, the vignetting is a little funky for the bridal shot. But other than that, it looks great!

I like the simplicity of it. Sometimes less is more.

    The layout is GOOD!
But I too think the two larger photos are weak.

    Nat,

I enjoy this. It's very simplistic, and for me it works! Minus the shadowing, I enjoy it, great shots, and a good strong layout!

    Very attractive design,

    Hey Nata

I missed the shadowed part until I read it, but I think make the images larger, fix the shadows and you've got it!

Thanks to everyone...I have changed the card a bit ...again I wish business cards were bigger...hmph...these may not be necessary since I just landed a fulltime job as an assistant manager/photographer at a local store...www.glamourshots.com but mostly I am really stoked about the possibility for advancement (having my own store within a ftwo years...) and learning more hands on stuff with posing and lighting within a studio setting. The pay is crazy good with commision to boot... and I can be as creative or uncreative (standard poses as I want....

it'll still be good to have the cards but I have a feeling I may not be using them very often.... ;)

Wow Nat Congrats on the job! I like the simplistic clean cut look of the business card. I agree that there is a bit of a shadow on the left.

Not to be too silly, but who says YOUR business card has to be the standard size? I'd print them as 4 x 6 prints and hand them out.
