Post Something Different for Me: JJ Grey and Mofro

JJ Grey and Mofro. Love the music these guys make. Southern fried, bluesy, funky, rock. Saw them at the Mangy Moose in Jackson. 5D 1600 ISO. Shutter speeds around 1/60 or so. Natural light.

I love the third and fourth shots and agree with your opinion of their music. I saw Mofro at the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival in 2005. I bought the cds of their performance at a late night juke joint because I was impressed with their music.

Good shots...maybe I'll try to convine them to come to Wilkeson.

They actually played in Winthrop a few days before this Jackson show.

Thanks for the kind words. The place became electric when they took the stage. They appear to have a really strong grass roots following. I was really surprised the enthusiasm of the crowd, they knew a lot more of the words than I did, they sang along with practically every song.
