    4 Rob

ONE PAIR of Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers in the state of NJ. I only knew the 12 MILE long road they were on and found them by EAR ;)

These are cropped images(25%of frame) , because I refused to stay long or get closer due to the rarity of these nesting birds.

    But Rob...... craps away pal

parent first, then a juvenile about a week from fledging

25% of the frame?!! And look at how dark they are! I can't believe you posted such crap on a public forum!

Just kidding buddy! Nice shots as always. So much better than what I could produce, that it's not even funny! :-D

    Hey paul,

Gee that looks a lot like a WoodPecker, but not having any of them here in Australia and never having seen them up close but in photos around and about, what would I know. 25% crop, not bad, but what about some unsharpen masking on it, did you try that on the image to get a bit more fine detail showing.

    Remain safe and well.

They were ID shots(to document the nest) at 1/20th of a second handheld... USM applied... maybe not enough though so it appears

Hmmm. My best shots have been ID shots, nothing more.
